Goa, Oct. 8 -- Lawyers across South Goa district on Tues day strongly condemned the shocking incident in which a senior lawyer allegedly attempted to hurl a shoe at Chief Justice of India (CJI) Justice B.R. Gavai during court proceedings at the Su preme Court in New Delhi. The act, which was swiftly thwarted by security per sonnel, drew widespread outrage from the legal fra ternity, who termed it an "insult to the judiciary" and "a disgrace to the legal pro fession." Legal professionals in Goa said the act has deeply hurt the dignity of the judiciary and the legal community, emphasising that such con duct was unbecoming of a lawyer and went against the oath of professional ethics.
