PANAJI, Aug. 20 -- The Goa government has informed the High Court that it is agreeable in principle to relocating the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue currently installed on Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) land at Sada. The government said the process of identifying suitable government land is underway and three potential sites have been shortlisted. However, no final decision has been taken on the relocation site yet. The High Court has granted the government additional time to finalise the location. The matter has now been posted for hearing on August 25, when the government is expected to provide further details.
