Goa, May 7 -- The Goa government has approached the High Court seeking cancellation of bail granted to an accused in the alleged forgery of a no-objection certificate used to secure an excise licence for Birch nightclub. The petition claims the document was forged to obtain the licence and alleges cheating of a government authority. The State has also said it is preparing a separate plea to cancel the bail of two other accused in the same case. The High Court granted liberty to the State to mention the matter before the vacation bench if the petition is filed.
