Goa, Sept. 4 -- Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has announced that the Goa government has earmarked Rs.100 crore for the scheme, with eligible beneficiaries set to receive Rs.3,000 directly through their accounts.

Sawant said the scheme will have no income ceiling, allowing eligible beneficiaries across income groups to avail themselves of the financial assistance.

The scheme will also cover domestic PNG (piped natural gas) consumers, expanding its reach to households using piped gas.

The government is expected to implement the initiative through a direct-benefit transfer mechanism to ensure that the assistance reaches beneficiaries directly.
