Panaji, Sept. 10 -- Goa is set for a major road infrastructure expansion, with Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari announcing Centre-backed projects worth more than Rs.4,000 crore.

Among the key proposals are the widening of the Mollem-Khandepar road stretch and the construction of a new bridge at Borim, with each project estimated to cost around Rs.2,000 crore.

Gadkari also announced that the Centre has accepted Goa's proposal for two additional national highway links - Balli to Betul ONGC and Karaswada to Sanquelim.
