Goa Forward Party Opposes Mhaje App for Motorcycle Pilots, Seeks Withdrawal to Protect Livelihoods
Goa, Aug. 4 -- The Goa Forward Party (GFP), along with motorcycle pilots, has submitted a memorandum to the Director of Transport demanding the withdrawal of the proposed Mhaje App for motorcycle pilots, alleging that the initiative would negatively impact the livelihoods of traditional pilot riders.
The party contended that a large number of motorcycle pilots are elderly and depend on the existing stand-based system for their daily earnings. It also pointed out that many of them are not digitally equipped to operate through an app-based platform, making the transition difficult.
