Goa, June 9 -- The Goa Forest Department on Tuesday conducted a review meeting to assess wildlife protection, forest management and conservation initiatives across the state.

A key focus of the meeting was the recent leopard death, which has drawn public attention. Officials stated that a postmortem has already been conducted and viscera samples have been sent to Gorewada Zoo for further examination. Authorities said an inquiry is currently underway and action will be taken once the exact cause of death is confirmed.
