Goa, Aug. 2 -- The Government of Goa has recently introduced a significant reform to its trade licensing process, aimed at fostering a more business-friendly environment across the state.
According to an official circular issued by the Directorate of Panchayats, all village panchayats are now empowered to issue or renew trade licenses for terms of one, three, five, or ten years, based entirely on the applicant's preference and business plan.Previously, trade licenses issued by village panchayats in Goa were only valid until the end of each financial year, requiring annual renewals.
