Goa, Oct. 2 -- Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi on his 156th birth anniversary on Thursday, presenting a flower garland at Gandhi's statue and offering prayers with folded hands.

Speaking on the occasion, Sawant highlighted the importance of religious harmony, sharing messages from the Bhagavad Gita, the Bible, and the Quran.
