Goa, Aug. 27 -- A major reshuffle took place in the Goa Cabinet with several veteran leaders being allotted key portfolios.

Former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat has been entrusted with the crucial PWD, Captain of Ports, and Legal Metrology departments, all previously under Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.

Newly sworn-in Ramesh Tawadkar, who stepped down as Assembly Speaker to join the Cabinet, will now oversee Sports and Youth Affairs, Art and Culture, and Tribal Welfare, portfolios earlier handled by Govind Gaude and the CM.

In other changes, Subhash Phal Desai has been allocated the Drinking Water Department, while his earlier charge of Archives and Archaeology has been shifted to the Chief Minister. Sudin Dhavalikar has been given the ...
