Goa, Sept. 12 -- Around 300 boys and girls have been trained as Apda Mitras, with each village now having two to three volunteers ready to provide assistance during disasters, Chief Minister of Goa stated today.
In a move to strengthen disaster preparedness, the government is signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Goa University. Under this partnership, the university will encourage students to actively participate as volunteers during disaster situations, further enhancing community resilience across the state.
