Goa, Aug. 28 -- Garbage dumped at the SGPDA Market in Margao has remained uncleared for nearly 15 days, raising concerns among vendors and visitors.

A local said the issue had been brought to the authorities' attention, following which the Margao Municipal Council issued letters to the SGPDA and Goa State Pollution Control Board.

However, the garbage continues to lie at the market, he alleged.

He accused the concerned authorities of passing responsibility to one another instead of taking concrete action to remove the waste.

Vendors have expressed concern over the unhygienic conditions and urged the departments concerned to immediately clear the garbage.
