Goa, Oct. 27 -- A roadside footpath and compound wall in Taleigao collapsed on Monday following heavy rainfall, sending debris cascading into nearby fields.

The incident, which occurred early in the morning, has prompted authorities to barricade the affected area to ensure public safety and prevent pedestrian movement along the damaged stretch.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported. However, the collapse has raised concerns about drainage and construction quality in the area, which has been prone to flooding during intense monsoon spells.

Officials from the Public Works Department (PWD) and local authorities have visited the site to assess the damage and initiate repairs. Cleanup operations are expected to begin once the rain subsides...
