Goa, Oct. 10 -- Ahead of the 2026-27 Indian domestic cricket season, Test opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has made an unexpected addition to his training regimen: wicket-keeping. The 24-year-old left-hander, who is still working to solidify his standing across all formats for India, has taken up glovework with the intention of eventually keeping wickets for both Mumbai and the national team.

The revelation came directly from Mumbai Ranji Trophy captain Siddhesh Lad during a media interaction three days prior to their season opener at Wankhede Stadium.
