Goa, July 28 -- In a tragic incident near the Talaulim Bridge in Navelim, Gabriel Cardoso, a 55-year-old resident of Pedda, Benaulim, succumbed to a fatal snake bite while fishing. The unfortunate event took place earlier today, when Cardoso reportedly encountered a venomous snake during his fishing activity near the riverbank.

According to sources, Cardoso was bitten on his leg and immediately experienced severe complications. Fellow villagers who witnessed the incident promptly contacted emergency services. However, despite swift action taken by the 108 emergency response team, Cardoso was brought dead to South Goa District Hospital.
