Fire Breaks Out in Mapusa Flat, Two Seniors Injured
Goa, May 29 -- Two senior citizens suffered partial burn injuries after a fire broke out in a residential flat near Kamat Garden in Mapusa on Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred around 2:05 pm on the first floor of the building and was reportedly caused by a short circuit in an oven gas stove switch. Firefighters from the Mapusa Fire Station rushed to the scene and managed to contain the blaze before it spread to nearby flats. The injured residents were rescued and shifted to Asilo Hospital for treatment. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
