Goa, May 21 -- Porvorim Police have registered an FIR against an unidentified individual for allegedly breaking into a house at Velotim-Pomburpa and stealing gold ornaments worth around Rs.5 lakh.

According to police sources, the accused allegedly trespassed into the residence and decamped with the jewellery while the house was unattended. Following the complaint, Porvorim Police initiated an investigation into the burglary case.

Police are currently working to identify the suspect and recover the stolen valuables. Further investigation is underway.
