India, March 18 -- Colvale Police have registered an FIR against a telecom company for allegedly carrying out unauthorized road digging to lay internet cables in parts of North Goa.
According to officials, the firm is accused of excavating stretches along Karaswada-Assonora and Pirna without the necessary permissions, resulting in damage to government property.
Police have issued a notice to the company concerned and initiated an investigation into the matter. Authorities are examining whether due procedures and approvals were bypassed during the execution of the work.
