India, Sept. 27 -- The Economic Offences Cell (EOC) has registered an FIR against Prakash Motwani, Lata Prakash Motwani, both from Mumbai, and six others for allegedly defrauding a Mumbai resident of over Rs.4 crore.
The accused reportedly lured the victim by promising investment opportunities in a hotel project in Candolim, Goa. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the case, which highlights growing concerns over fraudulent investment schemes in the hospitality sector.
The EOC is actively pursuing the matter, seeking to trace the misappropriated funds and hold the accused accountable under relevant laws.
