Goa, July 30 -- The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) conducted a surveillance drive across Candolim, Calangute, Baga, Arpora and Anjuna in Bardez on July 27, during which 10 food business establishments were inspected for compliance with food safety regulations.

The inspection covered various categories of food businesses, including restaurants, retail outlets and food vending establishments. Of the 10 units inspected, seven were directed to suspend operations until they comply with the prescribed food safety norms.

According to the FDA, the inspections were carried out based on complaints received through digital platforms as well as inputs gathered from social media.
