Europe's Wildfire Crisis Explained: What's Fueling the Devastating Fires Across France and Spain?
Goa, July 27 -- More than 325,000 people have been forced to flee their homes as devastating wildfires sweep across France and Spain, triggering one of Europe's worst fire emergencies in decades. With fresh fires also reported in Italy and other Mediterranean countries, scientists say the crisis reflects a worrying new reality in which climate change is making wildfires more frequent, more intense and increasingly difficult to contain.
