Goa, Oct. 24 -- The Economic Offences Cell (EOC) has registered a case against two Pune-based companies, Soil Properties & Infra India Ltd. and Soil Properties & Estate India Ltd., for allegedly defrauding several Goan investors of approximately Rs.7 crore through fraudulent deposit schemes.
Authorities said the companies lured investors with promises of high returns, only to default on payments, prompting the EOC to intervene. Investigations are underway to ascertain the full extent of the alleged scam and to trace the involved funds.
