ED Files PMLA Charges Against Two Priests, Ex-Surveyor and Realty Firm in Rs.27.10 Crore Caranzalem Land Case
Goa, July 11 -- The Goa Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has filed a prosecution complaint before the Special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) Court in North Goa against two priests, a former government land surveyor and a private real estate firm in connection with an alleged Rs.27.10 crore land fraud and money laundering case.
Those named in the prosecution complaint are Fr. Arlino De Mello, Fr. Victor Conceicao Rodrigues, former government land surveyor Prabhakar Rama Hawaldar, and a private real estate company.
According to the Enforcement Directorate, the accused allegedly laundered proceeds of crime amounting to Rs.27.10 crore and fraudulently deprived a local family of its lawful tenancy rights over a prime parcel of land...
