Goa, June 2 -- The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on Tuesday issued a precautionary advisory for travellers arriving from Ebola-affected countries, while assuring that no cases of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) have been reported in India as of June 2, 2026.

The advisory has been issued in response to ongoing Ebola outbreaks in parts of Africa, with health authorities stepping up surveillance and preparedness measures to prevent any potential spread of the disease. The ministry urged individuals who have travelled from or transited through Ebola-affected countries within the past 21 days to remain vigilant and closely monitor their health.
