Goa, April 10 -- Tension gripped Forbesganj town in north Bihar on Thursday after a violent altercation between a pickup van driver and a roadside vendor resulted in two deaths, police said.
According to Jitendra Kumar, Superintendent of Police of Araria district, the incident occurred in the morning following a dispute between Nabi Hussain, a pickup vehicle driver, and Ravi Chauhan, a vendor who sold sattu (roasted gram flour) in the local market.
Police said the argument escalated quickly, during which Chauhan allegedly attacked Hussain with a dagger, beheading him. The weapon used in the crime has been recovered.
