Curchorem, Oct. 7 -- Residents of Dhadiyal at Xelvona in the Curchorem constituency say they are being forced to sacrifice their sleep to collect water due to the irregular timing of supply in the area.

According to locals, water is supplied through the pipeline for barely one hour during the night, with no fixed schedule. Residents claim they have not received water during daytime hours for nearly 20 years, leaving them dependent on large storage tanks to meet their daily requirements.

The residents said they have repeatedly brought the issue to the attention of the Drinking Water Department as well as local MLA Nilesh Cabral. They said Cabral had assured them that he would direct the department to replace the existing pipeline. Howeve...
