Goa, June 10 -- A major demolition drive targeting illegal structures at Khobravaddo Beach in Calangute commenced on Tuesday, with authorities removing around 21 unauthorised constructions by the end of the day.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of the North Goa administration, with adequate police deployment to maintain law and order and ensure the smooth execution of the drive. Officials reported that the demolition proceeded without any major disruptions.

Authorities stated that the remaining illegal structures will be removed during the next phase of the operation, scheduled for the following day, as part of efforts to clear encroachments and restore the beach area.
