Goa, Nov. 8 -- Delhi's air quality deteriorated sharply on Saturday, with several areas recording an Air Quality Index (AQI) above 400, placing the national capital in the 'severe' category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi's average AQI stood at 361 at 4 pm, ranking it among the most polluted cities in India.

The worst-affected areas included Wazirpur (420), Burari (418), Vivek Vihar (411), Nehru Nagar (406), Alipur (404), and ITO (402). NCR cities such as Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad also reported 'very poor' air quality.
