Goa, April 9 -- A serious public safety concern has emerged after a gas pipeline safety board installed by Goa Natural Gas Private Limited at Patto Plaza, Panjim, was found displaying a non-functional emergency contact number. The warning sign, marking an underground high-pressure gas pipeline, lists a BSNL landline number that was reportedly disconnected on April 3, 2024. The discovery has raised questions over the company's emergency preparedness and maintenance of crucial public safety infrastructure.
