Goa, June 30 -- A powerful explosion tore through the Sigachi Industries pharmaceutical plant in Telangana's Sangareddy district on June 30, 2025, killing at least eight workers and injuring many others. The blast, which reportedly originated from a reactor inside the facility, was so intense that it flung workers nearly 100 metres away, shattered windows and doors nearby, and left behind a trail of destruction.

The fire triggered by the explosion quickly spread due to the presence of highly flammable materials. Eleven fire engines were deployed to douse the flames, as emergency responders launched a massive rescue operation.
