Goa, July 29 -- Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, addressing concerns in the state assembly on July 28, announced that all cybercrime cases-including cyber fraud-can now be registered at any police station in Goa. The move aims to ease the reporting process for victims, many of whom previously had to travel to the Cyber Cell headquarters in Ribandar to lodge complaints.
The issue was raised by MLA Nilesh Cabral, who highlighted that victims from remote areas often face significant inconvenience in reaching Ribandar. He urged the government to enable all police stations to register cybercrime complaints to make the process more accessible and citizen-friendly.
