Goa, April 9 -- Residents of Bamangal-Hodar in Curchorem have finally begun receiving water through tanker supply after persistent efforts, bringing temporary relief amid an ongoing shortage.

Officials stated that the existing pipeline in the area is too small and outdated, resulting in frequent bursts whenever water pressure is increased, further aggravating the supply problem.

Assistant Engineer Uzgavkar confirmed that a proposal has been submitted to the government for laying a new pipeline to address the issue on a long-term basis.

The proposed upgrade aims to ensure a more reliable and sustainable water supply for residents, who have been facing recurring difficulties due to infrastructure limitations.
