Goa, April 28 -- Residents of Curchorem on Tuesday raised serious concerns over air pollution at the solid waste management facility in Cacora, citing persistent foul smell and health discomfort in nearby areas. Addressing a press conference at the site, locals alleged that the plant's operations have worsened living conditions.

They also claimed that earlier assurances limiting waste intake to four constituencies have been violated, with approval now reportedly granted to bring garbage from Navelim.
