MAPUSA, May 3 -- The suspicious death of Subhash Rama Naik (61), a resident of Khadpawada-Cunchelim, has now been registered as a murder case after the post-mortem examination report indicated a foul play.

The Mapusa Police have arrested two persons Aaron Fernandes and Ramprasad Guin, both residents of Cunchelim. Naik's death on Friday was initially recorded as natural and preparations for his last rites had begun. However, his family and locals raised suspicions over the circumstances, prompting police to intervene and send the body for post-mortem examination.
