Goa, June 10 -- A major traffic disruption was reported on the Bambolim Highway after a container truck allegedly suffered a brake failure, leading to an accident that blocked part of the roadway.

According to preliminary information, the truck experienced a mechanical failure before crashing, sustaining extensive damage in the process. The vehicle came to a halt across a section of the highway, severely obstructing the flow of traffic and resulting in long queues of vehicles.

Motorists travelling through the Bambolim stretch have been advised to expect delays and, where possible, use alternative routes until the damaged vehicle is removed and normal traffic movement is restored.
