Goa, July 6 -- The Congress on Monday criticised the Narendra Modi-led government after India's passport was ranked 125th in the Global Passport Index 2026, alleging that the country's international standing had weakened under the Centre's policies. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge also questioned the recent increase in passport fees, saying citizens were paying more despite what he described as inadequate services.
