Goa, Aug. 23 -- Margao Congress Block Convener Savio Coutinho has levelled serious allegations of irregularities in the ongoing recruitment process for various posts at the Margao Municipal Council (MMC), demanding complete transparency from the authorities.

Coutinho claimed there were "clear signs of manipulation" in the manner applications were processed.

"We have very concrete information that the applications received in the first week of November 2024 have been tampered with by vested interests," he charged.

He demanded that the MMC Chief Officer publicly disclose the total number of applications received, along with the lists of accepted and rejected applications for each post.
