Goa, Sept. 23 -- Colva police have registered an FIR against five individuals in connection with the death of Rajesh Nagush Nistani, a resident of Guirdolim, during the Dhirio festivities. The accused have been booked for allegedly committing culpable homicide not amounting to murder with joint criminal liability.
In addition, the police have invoked the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, registering charges against the accused for allegedly subjecting two bulls to cruelty during the incident.
Two of the five accused have been arrested so far, while investigations continue to determine the role of the remaining individuals in the case. Authorities have assured strict action in accordance with the law.
