India, Jan. 27 -- Colva police carried out a raid at a flat in Varca and arrested two persons for alleged possession of narcotic substances, recovering drugs worth over 2 lakh.

According to police, Akash Sajith was arrested for allegedly possessing 6.79 grams of MDMA valued at 1,35,800 and 2.43 grams of charas worth 24,300. In a separate action during the same raid, Pratik Basman was arrested for allegedly being in possession of 2.02 grams of MDMA valued at 40,400.

The total value of the seized contraband has been estimated at 2,00,500. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the drugs and whether the accused have links to a larger narcotics network, police said.
