Goa, Aug. 3 -- A road accident was reported recently in Colva, involving a 19-year-old youth and a family travelling on a bike. According to initial reports, the accident occurred when the young rider, allegedly speeding, lost control of his bike and collided with the family's two-wheeler. The family - comprising a woman, her husband, and their infant child - were thrown off balance by the impact.

The 19-year-old rider sustained facial injuries, while details on injuries to the family have not been fully confirmed. Preliminary investigations suggest that reckless speeding and lack of caution on the part of the young rider led to the crash.
