Goa, July 26 -- A coconut tree fell onto overhead electricity wires on Chogm Road at Mudda Waddo in Saligao, triggering an emergency response on Sunday. Personnel from the Pilerne Fire Station and the Electricity Department rushed to the site and safely removed the tree after securing the area. The tree had fallen onto another coconut tree across the road while resting on power lines, creating a potential hazard for motorists and residents. Authorities brought the situation under control without any untoward incident. No injuries or property damage were reported during the operation.
