Goa, July 4 -- Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has proposed appointing two brand ambassadors to strengthen the Green Goa Clean Goa campaign and encourage greater public participation. Speaking at the Rural Accelerator Programme 2026 Felicitation Ceremony, he said the government spends significant funds on contractors for cleanliness initiatives. Sawant stressed that the campaign would have a greater impact if women and self-help groups took ownership of the movement. He assured financial support for their participation, adding that community-driven efforts would help create lasting environmental change and make the cleanliness mission more effective across Goa.
