Goa, Oct. 24 -- Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has said that the government has simplified the recruitment process for government jobs by introducing a single online examination system, replacing multiple earlier tests.

However, he clarified that candidates must still pass the Konkani language paper to qualify, regardless of their residency status or other eligibility criteria.

"Even if a candidate holds a 15-year Goa residence certificate and meets all eligibility requirements, he or she will not be eligible for selection if they fail the Konkani paper," the Chief Minister stated.

He said the change aims to make the recruitment process more transparent and efficient while preserving Goa's linguistic and cultural identity.
