Goa, Oct. 15 -- CJP Goa has clarified that its proposed gathering on October 11 was intended solely to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar and raise public awareness about electoral integrity and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

In a clarification, the organisation stressed that its campaign was democratic in nature and not directed against any religion or community.

CJP Goa stated that it respects all religions and communities and does not endorse slogans or statements that hurt religious sentiments. It reiterated that its objective was to raise concerns about the electoral process and seek accountability from the Election Commission.
