India, March 16 -- Authorities carried out surprise inspections of LPG usage at several establishments in Bicholim to prevent diversion of domestic cylinders and ensure supply for eligible households. The inspections were conducted by the Civil Supplies Department.

Raunak Kamat, Assistant Director of Civil Supplies (ADCS) Bicholim, along with the Civil Supplies inspector, visited five major chain hotels and restaurants in the taluka. During the checks, officials verified LPG usage and examined records maintained by the establishments.
