Goa, July 13 -- Residents of Chimbel approached the local panchayat after several borewells were sealed pursuant to a court order, alleging that the action has left many households without a regular source of water.

Villagers expressed concern over the growing water shortage and urged the authorities to take immediate steps to restore a reliable water supply. They said the sealing of the borewells has caused significant inconvenience to residents who depended on them for their daily water needs.

The local MLA was also present at the Chimbel Panchayat office during the discussions with residents and heard their grievances regarding the ongoing water crisis.
