Goa, May 28 -- Chicalim Sarpanch Kamla Prasad Yadav was felicitated by Goa Minister Mauvin Godinho after being honoured with the "Best Sarpanch" award for his contribution towards rural development. During a function held at the minister's office in New Vaddem, Godinho also felicitated Veer Kamla Prasad Yadav for being recognised as an emerging cricketer in Goa.

Addressing reporters, Mauvin Godinho said the Chicalim Panchayat has earned several accolades over the years and this latest recognition marked its seventh award. He expressed pride over Kamla Prasad Yadav receiving the honour and said it was a matter of satisfaction that the achievement came from his constituency.
