India, Feb. 16 -- The Goa State Election Commission (GSEC) has notified the delimitation of wards for the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) on February 12, 2026, paving the way for the conduct of municipal elections, GSEC Commissioner Menino D'Souza announced.

As per the notification, the Additional Collector (North) has been appointed as the Election Commissioner for the CCP polls, while the Collector (North) will function as the Returning Officer.

A total of 48 polling booths will be set up for the CCP elections. The maximum permissible election expenditure for each candidate has been fixed at 2.5 lakh. Voting will be conducted through ballot papers.
