Goa, Dec. 18 -- A car was completely gutted in a fire while it was travelling from Colvale to Mapusa on Wednesday. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

According to sources, the vehicle suddenly caught fire while in motion, prompting the occupants to immediately exit the car and alert emergency services. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

The Mapusa Fire and Emergency Services team rushed to the spot promptly and carried out firefighting operations to douse the flames. Despite their swift response, the vehicle was extensively damaged.

Authorities are assessing the situation, and further details regarding the incident are awaited.
