Goa, May 25 -- A car got stuck in a dug-up stretch near the Betim Ferry Point where underground electricity cable work is currently in progress.

According to information available from the spot, the incident occurred due to ongoing excavation work being carried out in the area as part of the cable installation project.

Sources said the contractor handling the work has assured the vehicle owner that the damage caused to the car will be repaired.

The incident reportedly caused temporary inconvenience to commuters using the route near the ferry point.
